Tsukuburg Ring

What a beautiful day today. Sunrise, Mt Fuji and the New Sky Tree @ 600m or so.

Destination, Rev Speed Super Battle and a drive.

I call Mt Tsukuba, the Tsukuburg Ring, because it's basically full chat. But in this car it cannot be.

It's mostly 2nd gear for my beast. Tooo fast for this road. The new wing seems to keep things pretty stable.
I'll still keep looking for a TFR one though. This is just temporary.

And well set up. Lots and lots of grip. More than I expected actually, When it hooks up, it simply rockets.
The car is by far the fastest thing I've owned, so It will still take some confidence to use it to the full potential.
On the street, that is NOT going to happen. I was at full throttle on this twisty road for minimal periods.

This IS definately a track car, which opens a huge can of worms.

  1. im glad you found another rx7!! after i read you sold your last one it seemed like this blog was doomed.

i have owned a bunch of jza70 supras here in aus and tried to live without one for a year but after awile i got amazingly bored with my life and the very bland and normal sedan i was driving. i found my self spending money on crap i never needed and started worrying about mandaine things like funiture...... but now i have a new 92 jza70 twinturbo limited :D with super rare sunroof option! its my third jza70 and i wont be selling anytime soon. it gives me a hobbie and something to do in my otherwise boring life, sure i could join the army or fire brigade but nothing compared to the connection you can have with a car especially a japanese sports car! ( well maybee a woman )

i see the car that you like is apart of you, something you can get much joy from and can not only admire but its something that you can constantly change and improve on.

you seem like such a perfectionist back in aus youd put most fd drivers to shame with your current car!!

i rather like the duck ( whale tale as supra people call them) on the fd it gives the car a sharper and more agressive look! tough yet understated is the word.
im looking foward to seeing this car evolve and you continue with this amazing hobbie.

    reguards,
    travis ( 92 jza70 owner)

  2. Travis,
    Thanks for the words.
    Cars are a terrible hobby,
But it beats trying to catch and kill a buffalo for survival like the cavemen did.
Just having a final fling at cars and see what happens.
